Job Description

East Coast Fund Management Inc. is a hedge fund co-founded and launched by two of the Canadian Financial Markets most successful and respected leaders. Mike MacBain and John Schumacher have each headed securities and trading businesses at major Canadian banks and together have close to 50 years of capital market experience.

East Coast Fund Management Inc. offers hedge fund investments in various asset classes and trading strategies to both sophisticated and retail investors. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as we build upon the success of the launch of our first fund. In addition to having a hands on role in building the business, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain invaluable financial markets experience while working in a team oriented environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Trading and data analysis
• Portfolio reconciliation
• Improving operational efficiencies
• Marketing and client communication creation and development

An interest in the financial markets is essential for this role, as is financial modelling, VBA, excel and database management. Good communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and initiative are also key attributes.
